In creating this seascape painting “Happiness Comes in Waves”, I tried to capture the serene yet powerful essence of the ocean waves in the Dominican Republic, which I have recently visited. The oil medium allowed me to meticulously layer the different shades of blue and green on this large 48×30 inches gallery wrapped canvas, creating depth and movement in the waves that seem to beckon the viewer into a tranquil escape.
